Enhanced features, statistics to debut at Freedom 55 Financial Open

(May 23, 2016 – Vancouver, B.C.) – The Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada announced today that it will utilize ShotLink for scoring, statistics and live tournament updates in 2016, starting with this week’s Freedom 55 Financial Open at Point Grey Golf and Country Club in Vancouver.

The move will feature enhanced stats and information from the TOUR’s scoring feed, providing the same information to PGATOUR.COM and the PGA TOUR App for Mackenzie Tour events as the Tour and PGA TOUR Champions.

“With this new system, fans can follow along with the Mackenzie Tour more closely than ever,” said Mackenzie Tour President Jeff Monday. “In addition to our other digital and social media properties, we want people to be able to closely follow every event. Adding new statistical information and live updates will produce an enhanced fan experience, and we look forward to seeing it in action this week in Vancouver.”

Statistics will include Driving Accuracy, Greens in Regulation, Scrambling and Putting Average, while live updates on PGATOUR.COM and the PGA TOUR App will show where each player’s shots are as they happen.

The 2016 Mackenzie Tour season includes 12 events from coast-to-coast, with the top five players on the Order of Merit at season’s end earning status on the Tour.
