Chargers golf team makes University/College Golf Championships Top 10

The Camosun College Chargers put in another solid day of play yesterday in the third round of the Canadian University/College Golf Championships, advancing to sixth place following the tournament’s top 10 cut.

Competing in today’s fourth and final round of the men’s division are:

6.       Camosun             904

7.       Univ Waterloo   912

8.       Concordia Univ 913

Camosun shot a collective 298 yesterday through the combined efforts of veterans Brady Stead and Grant Maskiewich who led the charge with totals of 74 each, and teammates Matt Matheson and Scott Merriam who were close behind with 75. Stead’s three day total of 217 (69 + 74 + 74) places him ninth with a +1 in the Top 10 men’s individual race.

The team will be battling hard today for their best all-time finish at this event. Follow their progress here.
