Raiders sponsoring PAMHA’s Initiation hockey program
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce a five-year agreement with the Prince Albert Minor Hockey Association.
Beginning this fall, the Raiders will sponsor PAMHA’s Initiation hockey program. All of the IP teams in the program will be named the Raiders and will wear sweaters emblazoned with the Raiders’ logo.
The Raiders will also run a coaching clinic each year in the fall for all of the IP team coaches, consisting of an on-ice and classroom session. Players will also attend IP practices during the season.
As an organization, the Raiders are committed to helping develop the next generation of hockey players at a grassroots level. This deal helps facilitate getting players and coaches involved in the community to inspire the next generation of WHL players.
“We have always been thrilled to be a partner with Prince Albert Minor Hockey,” said Raiders Business Manager Mike Scissons. “Further enhancing this partnership by having all the IP age group wearing the Raider logo on their jerseys is tremendously exciting for our club. The five- and six-year-olds playing at this level show the true joy of the game that we all love. We look forward to seeing these kids play, being a part of their practices, and being role models for them as they develop their hockey skills.”
“It’s going to be very exciting for the kids,” PAMHA technical director James Mays said. “There’s nothing more exciting than getting your first brand new hockey jersey, and I can only imagine how much more it will be for our Initiation players when their first new jersey has the Raider logo on it”
PAMHA is hosting summer registration for the 2016-17 season on June 14 and 15 at the Art Hauser Centre from 6 to 8 p.m. Fees for the IP program, which is for players born in 2010 or 2011, is $355. The next night for registration is in September.
