21st Annual Jays Care Golf Classic raises $850,000 for Canadian children and youth
On Monday, June 20th, TORONTO BLUE JAYS alumni, players and special guests teamed up to go ‘Beyond the Ballpark’ at RattleSnake Point Golf Club for the 21ST ANNUAL JAYS CARE GOLF CLASSIC,presented by Samsung, Cisco, Ericsson, Rogers and Huawei.
This sold-out event, emceed by SPORTSNET’S Buck Martinez, delivered a unique Blue Jays experience and celebration of the Blue Jays’ 40thseason for philanthropic and charitable donors. 75 foursomes enjoyed a round of golf, lunch, cocktail reception, dinner and the opportunity to win exclusive auction packages.
The more than $850,000 raised will help Jays Care Foundation use baseball to bridge the opportunity gap for children and youth across Canada. Jays Care Foundation has committed to investing over $5.2 million across Canada in 2016 in order to positively impact over 65,000 Canadian kids.
