Prince George, B.C. – Over the past four years, the Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament has evolved into one of the most prestigious and highly anticipated summer events in the City!  So with that in mind, the Prince George Cougars Hockey Club, in conjunction with the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation cannot wait to once again join forces for the fifth annual Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament. This year the event will take place on July 15th and 16th. Last year we shattered records when the tournament helped raise $102,061.16 towards the purchase of a Medtronic Paceart Optima System and Blood Pressure Monitors for the cardiac lab at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia. In the span of four years, this event has now raised over $232,000 towards healthcare in the North.
Registration for the 2016 Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament includes the following:
Friday at CN Centre:
– (From 4-5 PM for the General Public) A Meet and Greet, autographs and dressing room tours with the Cougars Alumni, staff and Rowdy Cat.
– A buffet dinner for all participants.
– A wide variety of live/silent auction items.
– An exciting opportunity to bid on members of the Cougars Alumni to join your golf team.
Saturday at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club:
– 18 holes of golf with a Cougars Alumnus or Staff Member at the Prince George Golf and Curling Club.
– Catered dinner.
– Prizes and contests.
Though the tournament is already sold out, fans of all ages are welcome to join us during Friday’s meet and greet and autographs.
“Once again we are so pleased to work with the PG Cougars alumni, management and  staff and so many amazing community partners on this year’s tournament,” comments Spirit of the North CEO Judy Neiser.  Together, we have made it our goal to support cardiac care at UHNBC and we are so pleased to be raising funds for Patient Monitors which will aid in providing (CTCA) Computer Tomography Coronary Angiography services.  Few of us go through life without being touched by someone who has heart health concerns, we’re happy to work with Northern Health to be sure that much needed equipment is available to our northern patients.”
The Northland Auto Group is back as the tournament’s Title Sponsor, while Ken Goss, Roger Kollner, Denis Dunkley, and Dan Strickland (of Remax), and Scotiabank are back as Gold Sponsors for the event.
Geotech Drilling and the Coast Inn of the North have signed on as Silver Sponsors.
