Fresh off a road win vs. Port Scandalous, Villains meet Rainier Roller Girls at home

Victoria B.C.: The Margarita Villains are looking to extend their win streak to four this weekend, as they face the Rainier Roller Girls at Archie Browning Arena in Esquimalt, Saturday June 25th.

The Villains have just returned from Port Angeles, where they handily beat the Port Scandalous Straight Shooters 184-98.

Villains co-captain No Mer’Sea credits her teammates’ versatility for their success in this game, and others as of late:

“I think the Villains have become a strong opponent as a team for many reasons; playing as a cohesive unit as well as many of our skaters being able to take on all roles on the track gave us the advantage in this game”

No Mer’Sea was also a huge factor in the win, evidenced by her strong jamming performance which won her the MVP Jammer Award. Port Scandalous awarded the MVP Blocker award to C-3Ph0.

The Villains are looking to carry the winning momentum into their game against the Seattle-area Rainier Roller Girls this Saturday, June 25th.

Prior to the headlining bout, the Eves’ junior team The Rotten Apples take the track against Comox Valley’s Stone Cold Stellas.

Doors open at 5 pm, seats are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online, or at Logan’s Pub, Hive Hair and The Esquimalt Recreation Centre.

The Eves of Destruction Roller Derby League was formed in 2006, and has over 70 players, officials, and volunteers, and features five teams: EOD’s A-Team, The Belles of the Brawl, The Margarita Villains and The Hard Cores. The league also has a gender inclusive Junior team, The Rotten Apples, made up of players aged 10-18.
