Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have seven current roster players and two recently graduated players that have attended NHL Development Camps in the early part of July.  


In Dallas, Nick Chyzowski is attending his first NHL Development Camp. The 19-year-old had 15 goals and 25 points playing in all 72 games last season. 

In San Jose, Jermaine Loewen is joined by Rudolfs Balcers at camp. Loewen had a solid second season with eight goals and 15 points in 2015-16. Balcers was selected by the Blazers in the CHL Import Draft and is a fifth round selection of the Sharks in the 2015 NHL Draft. Deven Sideroff was at the Anaheim Ducks camp. The 19-year-old was one of the Blazers top performers with 19 goals and 58 points in 63 games last season.


He was selected by the Ducks in the third round of the 2015 NHL Draft.  Connor Ingram attended the Tampa Bay Lightning camp after being selected by the Lightning in the third round of the 2016 NHL Draft. He will be at Canada’s National Junior Camp later this month in Toronto. Defenseman Ondrej Vala is in Philadelphia for the Flyers development camp. Vala played all 72 games with the Blazers this past season and had 21 points.  In Washington, Garrett Pilon will attend the Capitals camp. He was a third round pick by the Capitals in the 2016 NHL Draft. The 18-year-old had 47 points in 71 games during the 2015-16 season.Gage Quinney and Ryan Rehill, who both finished their WHL careers with the Blazers last season, are also attending NHL Development Camps. Quinney attended the Pittsburgh Penguins camp, while Rehill is at Dallas Stars camp.
