Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of forward Jalen Price to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.

“We are excited that Jalen has made the decision to join our organization,” stated Head Coach and General Manager Shaun Clouston, “We welcome Jalen and his family to the Tigers and look forward to working together in the future.”

Price was the Tigers 2016 3rd Round Pick 63rd overall back in May. The Delta, BC native played last season with the Delta Hockey Academy in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League, one of the most difficult leagues to play in.

Last year Price recorded 33 points in 25 games including 15 goals and 18 assists. During the 2014-15 season Price collected 95 points in just 44 games.

“Jalen is a player that can play on both sides of the puck and plays with lots of energy,” said Senior Director of Player Development Darren Kruger, “We are thrilled that Jalen and his family have decided to be a part of our organization in the next chapter of his hockey career.”

Price will also compete for a spot on the Tigers roster beginning in the 2017-18 season as a 16 year old.

The Tigers have now signed their Top 5 draft picks from the 2016 class as Price joins fellow picks Josh Williams (1st), Daniel Baker (2nd), Henrik Rybinski (2nd) and Ryden Fedyck (3rd).
