Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers will host a goaltender camp and skill development ice sessions starting on Tuesday, August 23rd to start their 2016-17 Training Camp.
The goaltender camp will be led by Kamloops Blazers Goaltender Coach, Dan De Palma and the Dallas Stars Goaltender Coach, Jeff Reese.
Reese played 11 NHL seasons and has been an NHL Goaltender Coach for 17 seasons, spending time with Tampa Bay and Philadelphia before joining Dallas. Reese is in his second season with the Stars.
Returning goaltenders Connor Ingram and Dylan Ferguson will participate in the goaltender camp along with 17-year-old prospect Dane Dow.
The ice times for the goaltenders will be 8:00am – 8:45am, 11:00am – 11:45am on Tuesday, August 23rd and Wednesday, August 24th at the Sandman Centre. On Thursday, August 25th, the goaltender ice times will be7:30am – 8:00am, 10:00am – 10:30am at McArthur Island.
The skill development camp will include all returning players from the 2015-16 season. The ice times will be 9:00am – 10:45am on August 23rd and 24th at the Sandman Centre and 8:00am – 9:45am on August 25th at McArthur Island.
Rookie camp will begin with registration on Thursday, August 25th and ice sessions will start on Friday, August 26th with 62 players expected to attend. This includes all of the 2000 and 2001-born players on the Blazers protected list.
Main camp scrimmages will run on August 28th and 29th, and the annual Blue vs. White intra-squad game will be held on Tuesday, August 30th at 7:00pm at the Sandman Centre.

All training camp ice sessions from August 23rd – August 29th are free to attend.
