Green & White Game Scores Big For Food Bank


Prince Albert, SK – Fans of the Prince Albert Raiders showed their support for the Prince Albert Food Bank in a big way on Tuesday night.


Spectators brought in 590 lbs of non-perishable food items to Tuesday’s annual Green & White Intra-Squad Game. They also raised $1,020 for the Prince Albert Food Bank through donations at the door.


The generosity of the fans inspired the Raiders to match the monetary donation, raising the total amount collected for the Food Bank to $2,040.


“We are thrilled that our fans stepped up to help out a vital community organization that needed assistance,” said Raiders business manager Michael Scissons. “We’re happy to help the Food Bank and will continue to look for ways to help out in the future.”


The Raiders return to the ice on Friday night when they hit the road to take on the Regina Pats as part of the Pats’ pre-season tournament. Puck drop is 7 p.m.
