Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants are proud to announce that the hockey club has signed 2000-born forward Hunor Torzsok to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
“I was very excited signing with the Giants,” said Torzsok. “The players and the coaching staff have been very good to me, and it’s been a dream of mine to play for the Giants for a long time.”
Torzsok, a Cloverdale native, spent last season playing for the Delta Hockey Academy Elite 15s. The 6’2”, 185 pound forward scored 10 goals and 20 assists in 33 games in 2015/16 while also making one appearance for the Academy’s prep team.
“Hunor is a big, hard-working forward that is proud to have the opportunity to play in the Western Hockey League in his hometown in front of friends and family,” said General Manager Glen Hanlon. “His family is very excited about joining us, and we are honoured to have the Torzsoks as part of our Giants team.”
The Giants begin the 2016 WHL Pre-Season tomorrow when they face the Spokane Chiefs at 3:00pm at the XFINITY Arena in Everett.
