Blazers Sign Goaltender Max Palaga


Kamloops, BC – The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2000-born goaltender Max Palaga to a standard WHL player agreement.

Palaga, who stands at 6’1” and 160lbs, is from Kamloops. He has played all of his minor hockey in Kamloops including playing for the Kamloops Bantam AAA Jardine Blazers in 2014-15 and the Thompson Blazers of the B.C. Major Midget League during the 2015-16.

He was listed by the Blazers in September 2015 after attending the Blazers Rookie Camp last year.

“We’ve had the pleasure of watching Max grow and improve over the last year in Kamloops,” commented Director of Player Personnel, Matt Recchi. “He performed well at camp and we believe he will develop into a quality goaltender.”

Palaga has been added to the Kamloops Blazers WHL preseason roster and could see his first action this weekend when the Blazers host the Victoria Royals on Friday, September 2nd at 7:00pm and the Kelowna Rockets on Sunday, September 4th at 5:00pm. Both games will be played at the Sandman Centre.

Tickets to all WHL Preseason games can be purchased at the Kamloops Blazers Box Office. Prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for youth.
