Oil Kings Reassign Four


EDMONTON, ALTA. – The Edmonton Oil Kings have reassigned four prospects to their respective midget clubs following weekend exhibition action versus the Calgary Hitmen general manager Randy Hansch announced today.

Oil Kings 2016 bantam draft picks Matthew Robertson (Sherwood Park Kings of the AMHL); Liam Keeler (Southside Athletic Club of the AMHL); Carter Souch (Northern Alberta X-Treme of the CSSHL) and Boston Bilous (Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the BCMMHL) all appeared with Edmonton this preseason and have returned to their clubs.

The Oil Kings now hold a preseason roster of 30 with three goaltenders, 10 defensemen and 17 forwards.

Edmonton’s overall record in the 2016 preseason is now 2-2-0-0 with the Oil Kings earning the split versus Calgary this past weekend. The club’s final tune up of the exhibition season will take place this Saturday, September 17 against the Saskatoon Blades in St. Albert.

All Oil Kings regular season single game tickets are on sale Tuesday, September 13 at noon! This includes tickets for the Rogers Place Home Opener powered by Toyota onSaturday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. against the Red Deer Rebels.
