Kamloops, BC – After a tough, four-loss weekend against the University of British Columbia, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team is looking to have a bounce back weekend and get back on the winning track. They have a busy weekend, as they will be playing six games.

It all starts Friday night (September 30th) as the ‘Pack will be taking on the Okanagan A’s of the Premier Baseball League (PBL). The PBL is BC’s highest-level high school league. The ‘Pack and the A’s will be playing a doubleheader, at 4pm and 6pm at Norbrock Stadium. They will be seven inning games.

On Saturday and Sunday (Oct 1st and 2nd), the WolfPack will be taking on the newest team to the CCBC (Canadian Collegiate Baseball Conference), the University of Fraser Valley Cascades. The two teams met last year but all games against them were exhibition games. Game times are 1pm and 4pm on both days, at Norbrock Stadium. They will be regular nine inning games.

“We’ve had a rough start this fall so far, but if we want to turn things around, this is the weekend to do it,” says pitcher Scott Wood.

“This is our chance to see Fraser Valley and how they stack up cause they’re new to the league this year,” says fourth year outfielder Malcolm Upton, “hopefully we get the bats going and our pitching is solid like it has been so far.”

The WolfPack are looking forward to getting back to their winning ways. They’re not happy with the struggles to start the fall and they’re looking forward to playing hard and getting back into the win column.
