Another Double Win for the Mount Douglas Rams Football Program


Another double win for the Mount Douglas Rams Football Program.  The JV Rams easily defeated Belmont in the opening game, while the Varsity Rams recorded a 30 to 13 victory in the 2nd contest .


Varsity Game Summary

The Rams defense created 3 turnovers in the game en route to the victory.  Josh Lucas had 2 interceptions while Connor Clarke had a pick of his own.  Soren Hallschmid led the Rams defense with 9 tackles and 2 sacks, followed by Quinn Jenish with 7 tackles.  On the offensive side of the ball, Gideone Kremler threw for 266 yards and 2 touchdowns, and ran for 103 yards and a major.  Ben Pierik rumbled for 65 yards of his own.  Ben also had 3 receptions for 49 yards, while Josh Lucas led all receivers with 9 catches for an impressive 161 yards and 1 touchdown.  Quinn Jenish also hauled in a TD reception.   On Special Teams, Phil Grohovac connected on a 29 yard field goal.

The Varsity Rams now turn their focus to Notre Dame (undefeated in conference play) in a battle for first place.
