By The Numbers

4 – Goalkeeper Greg Buckley is tied for sixth in the conferences with 4 shutouts this season.

5 -The Huskies are looking to make it 5 straight seasons with a playoff berth if they can clinch a spot.

19 – The Huskies will return to action on Field 7 after nearly three weeks on the road. The Huskes last played at home 19 days ago.

23 – Striker Tyler Redl leads the Huskies with 23 shots on goal this season.

Scouting The Cougars

Mount Royal enters the weekend in third place in the Canada West Prairie Divison, looking to unseat crosstown rival, Calgary, from the second seed. The top two teams in the division will host quarter-final matches next weekend.

The Cougars 7-4-3 record gives them 24 points on the season, four behind second place Calgary and two points ahead of Lethbridge. A win or tie on Friday will gurantee the Cougars a playoff spot. Saskatchewan would not be able to catch Mount Royal with a loss or tie.

The Cougars have won just once in their last six matches, a 1-0 victory over the Dinos.

Mount Royal brings an impressive 4-1-2 road record to Saskatoon.

The Cougars are led offensively by Cody Cook with six goals and two assists.

Scouting The Dinos

Calgary enters the weekend in second place in the Canada West Prairie Division. The Dinos cannot catch first place Alberta, but would like to pick up at least a pair of points to stay ahead of Mount Royal.  The second seed in the division hosts the third seed from the Pacific Division.

The Dinos are coming off of back-to-back shutouts over Winnipeg (5-0, 1-0) last weekend.

Dominic Russo leads the squad with 24 points on the season. His point total is second in the conference, just one point behind the leader. Russo’s goal total of 15 is also second in the conference. He trails teammate Dominik Zator by one in the assists category with 9. The duo leads the Canada West in assists.
