October 26th 2016, Victoria B.C.: The Eves of Destruction’s all star team has returned from a three day tournament having swept all the competition at the 3rd annual Hickdown Throwdown. Taking on teams from across BC and Alberta, The A-Team went 4-0 with games against Vernon’s T.O.A.S.T. (314-60), Saskatoon’s Mind Fox (214-137), Prince George’s Rated PG (268-50), and Calgary’s Jane Deere (218-70). This year’s performance marks a drastic improvement over last year’s 1-2 tournament record.

Three skaters made their official A-Team debuts this weekend: Toombstone, PileDriver, and C-3Ph0. Despite having three new skaters, the team dominated all their opponents, relying on strong defensive walls and well-timed offense. Aside from the talented blockers, the A-Team’s deep bench and 7 jammer rotation helped keep players fresh, even on day three of the tournament.

With the four game win streak over the weekend, The A-Team improves their 2016 season record to 6-1, as they head into the off-season. The next time to see the Eves in action will be at our 11th season opener on April 1st, 2017!
