Raiders Come Up Short In Goaltenders Duel

Prince Albert, SK – The goaltenders were the star attractions during Saturday night’s game between the Prince Albert Raiders (4-9-1-0) and the Saskatoon Blades (7-7-1-0) at the Art Hauser Centre.

Both Ian Scott and Logan Flodell in their respective nets, but it was Saskatoon’s Josh Paterson that scored the game’s only goal in the Blades’ 1-0 win. He deflected a shot past Scott during an early third-period power play.

Scott was phenomenal for the Raiders in a losing effort after being pulled from Friday night’s game against the Chiefs. He made 32 saves for the Raiders.

For the second consecutive game against the Blades, the Raiders were unable to solve Logan Flodell. Saskatoon’s netminder stopped 23 shots to earn his second shutout of the season.

Up next for the Raiders is a date with the Moose Jaw Warriors at Mosaic Place on Tuesday evening. They return to the Art Hauser Centre on Wednesday night when the Seattle Thunderbirds come to town. Puck drop is 7 p.m.
