Winterhawks Struggles Continue

The Portland Winterhawks (8-10-0-0) dropped a 5-2 decision to the Everett Silvertips (13-2-2-0) Saturday in Everett. Keegan Iverson’s goal tonight once again extended his point streak to five games. Iverson has registered three goals and two assists in that span for 16 points in 16 games so far this season for the Hawks.

 

Skyler McKenzie opened the scoring tonight with his team-leading 11th goal of the season. McKenzie has 21 points in 18 games so far this season, and is rapidly approaching his career-high of 25 points in 68 games set last season.

 

With an assist tonight on McKenzie’s goal, Winterhawks forward Joachim Blichfeld now has a four-game point streak with four points in that span. Blichfeld, one of Portland’s 2016 CHL Import Draft picks, has 14 points in 16 games in his rookie campaign.
