Balanced Attack Leads Hawks to 6-3 Win Over Prince George Sunday

Six different players scored as the Portland Winterhawks (13-12-1-0) earned a 6-3 win over the visiting Prince George Cougars (18-6-2-0) at Veterans Memorial Coliseum Sunday

 

In the balanced attack against Prince George, six different Winterhawks found the back of the net for the 6-3 win. Portland’s rookies helped lead the way tonight as three of Portland’s six goals came from first-year players, including one from Finnish defenseman Henri Jokiharju, who posted a goal and an assist. Rookie forward Jake Gricius also added two helpers for his first career multi-point night.

Winterhawks captain Keegan Iverson also extended his point streak to seven games with an assist against the Cougars. Iverson has 14 points in those seven games, including 12 assists in the last six straight, and 31 points on the season so far.
