TRU  head coach Scott Clark:

On the Contest:

“There was a sense of urgency for the guys. That is always nice to see. Whenever you play there has to be a bit of an edge to you.  Today we had that”

On Joe Davis:

“I’m not surprised. He had a good summer. He is a workman type guy. He comes to practice every day hard. Your performance is going to mirror the effort you put in at practice.”

UBCO head coach Peter Guarasci :

On the Game:

“I think we competed for the first half and we couldn’t handle their physicality on the offensive glass. We gave up a lot of O boards and gave them too many second chance points and points in the paint.”

On Final Weekend before Christmas preparation:

“We need to work on the same stuff: getting better on both ends of the floor.  We need to find out from our young guys who is ready to step up.”

Next week: TRU will close things out in Prince George against the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves (Dec 3-4).  UBCO will visit UBC (Dec 3-4).

Those games can be seen on www.CanadawestTV on a pay-per-view basis.

The WolfPack’s next home league game will be  Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Tournament Capital Centre when they entertain the University of Victoria Vikes. Tip off will be 8 pm.

OF NOTE:  The TRU Bookstore/McDonalds “Leader of the Pack” player of the game was: Davis.  The WolfPack’s two victories have given Thompson Rivers a 4-0 lead in the men’s portion of the “President’s Cup” race with UBCO.
