Hawks Beat Medicine Hat Sunday at Veterans Memorial Coliseum

The Portland Winterhawks (16-13-1-0) earned a 5-3 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers (21-8-1-0) at Veterans Memorial Coliseum Sunday.


The Hawks once again put forth a balanced attack against the Tigers with five different players finding the back of the net. Forward Skyler McKenzie struck first for the Hawks tonight for his team-leading 17th goal of the season. McKenzie then followed his goal with two assists to finish with three points on the night and a +2 rating.


Portland’s leading scorer Cody Glass also posted a goal and an assist tonight, along with a +2 rating, against the Tigers. With 41 points this season, Glass is in fifth in league scoring, only one point behind second, and four points off of first place.
