Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the week twelve edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the 2016-17 season.  The weekly rankings of the CHL’s Top-10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

The Regina Pats retain first place in the rankings for a second consecutive week, while remaining on the chart for an 11th straight week. The Pats hammered the Prince Albert Raiders before doubling up the Swift Current Broncos over the weekend and just slipped by the Kootenay ICE in overtime on Tuesday evening.

The Everett Silvertips continue to ascend the ranks, moving from fourth into third place in the CHL Top 10 this week. The Silvertips blanked the Kootenay ICE before bringing an end to the Medicine Hat Tigers’ 10-game winning streak Friday night. This marks the ninth week in the CHL Top 10 for Everett.

The Prince George Cougars round out WHL representation in the CHL Top 10, landing in seventh spot, sliding one place from a week ago. The Cougars split a weekend series with the Victoria Royals. The Cougars have appeared in the CHL Top 10 for 11 weeks.

A week after bounding into fifth place in the CHL Top 10, a tough trip through the U.S. Division knocked the Medicine Hat Tigers out of the rankings, though they still earn an honourable mention. Medicine Hat has dropped three consecutive contests, including losses at Everett, Seattle and Portland.
