The Prince George Spruce Kings would like to announce that they have traded the playing rights to forward Jamie Huber back to his previous team, the Listowel Cyclones of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL), in exchange for future considerations.
“Jamie approached the coaching staff recently and asked for a move closer to home. He thanked the coaches for everything and noted that he enjoyed every aspect of being a Spruce King and the city of Prince George but at this time it was important for him to play closer to home. Jamie is a great kid and was a big part of our team but at the end of the day there are things in life that are more important than the game of hockey, and certainly family is one of those things. We would like to thank Jamie for his time as a Spruce King and wish him all the best in his future endeavors” said Spruce Kings General Manager Mike Hawes.
