Hawks Fall 4-2 in Everett Saturday

The Portland Winterhawks (19-16-1-0) fell 4-2 to the Everett Silvertips (24-4-5-0) Saturday in a road contest played in Everett, WA.

 

Cody Glass led the way tonight for the Hawks with two goals against the Silvertips. With his second goal, Glass reached the 50-point plateau for the first time in his career. Winterhawks captain Keegan Iverson also registered an assist on Glass’ first goal for his 28th assist of the season, and 41st point overall.

 

The Hawks are now off for a week for the league’s annual holiday break. Portland will return to action on Tuesday, December 27 when they travel to Kennewick to take on the Tri-City Americans.

–       3rd @ 12:22 – Everett’s Matt Fonteyne (Bajkov, Davis) gives the Silvertips a 2-1 lead. (POR 1 – EVT 2)

–       3rd @ 16:39 – Glass (MacEachern, McKenzie) nets his second of the night to tie it at 2-2. (POR 2 – EVT 2)

–       3rd @ 17:10 – Just 31 seconds later, Devon Skoleski (Christiansen, Tuulola) notches Everett’s third goal for a 3-2 lead. (POR 2 – EVT 3)

–       3rd @ 18:12 – Everett’s Connor Dewar adds an empty net goal to seal the 4-2 victory. (POR 2 – EVT 4)
