Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced the Week 14 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the 2016-17 season.  The weekly rankings of the CHL’s Top-10 teams are selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.

Leading the charge once again is the Regina Pats, ranked for 13 weeks and atop the charts for yet another week. After dropping a tight road contest to the Moose Jaw Warriors, the Pats returned home and hammered the Warriors by a 7-3 final to close out the pre-Christmas schedule on a high note. Heading into the holiday break, the loss in Moose Jaw is the only regulation defeat suffered by the Pats over the previous 10 outings.

Moving up and into the No. 3 spot this week is the Everett Silvertips, now ranked among the nation’s best for 11 weeks. Everett is an astounding 8-1-1-0 over the past 10 outings, including back-to-back victories over the Tri-City Americans and Portland Winterhawks to close the pre-Christmas slate atop the WHL’s U.S. Division.

Rounding out WHL representation is the Prince George Cougars, clawing into sixth in this the club’s 13th week in the CHL Top 10. Like the Silvertips, the Cougars have won eight of the prior 10 contests, including five straight heading into Christmas. A mini road trip prior to the holiday break saw the Cougars edge both the Seattle Thunderbirds and Spokane Chiefs.

Earning another honourable mention is the Medicine Hat Tigers.
