Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has claimed forward Reid Boucher off waivers.

Boucher, 23, has split this season between the Nashville Predators (1-0-1 in 3 GP) and the New Jersey Devils (0-2-2 in 9 GP). The 5-10, 195-pound forward has amassed 30 points (12-18-30) in 85 career NHL games since the 2013.14 season. Boucher has also suited up in 169 American Hockey League games posting 110 points (63-47-110).

A U.S. National Development Team member from 2009-11, Boucher played two seasons with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting from 2011-13, leading the league in goals and being named an OHL First-Team All-Star in 2012.13.

A native of Lansing, Michigan, Boucher was originally selected by New Jersey in the fourth round, 99th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
