Ottawa, ON – Volleyball Canada and sports apparel and equipment company Mizuno Canada have renewed their partnership to 2020.
The agreement will focus on the indoor volleyball programs and events organized by Volleyball Canada, including the men’s and women’s indoor and sitting national teams preparing for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Volleyball Canada’s National Championships.
Volleyball Canada President and CEO, Mark Eckert, said: “We are very pleased to re-sign with Mizuno for the next four-year cycle. Mizuno has been a valued partner of our teams on the international stage, and an important part of our journey and identity.”
For the first time in 24 years, Volleyball Canada’s indoor men’s team was represented at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016, finishing fifth overall. Also in 2016, Canada’s women’s sitting volleyball team cracked the top 10 in its first-ever Paralympic appearance.

As an official Volleyball Canada sponsor, Mizuno Canada has the rights to develop and distribute sport footwear, apparel and accessories carrying the Volleyball Canada logo. In addition, the deal with Volleyball Canada includes rights for Mizuno Canada to operate retail vending stands and kiosks at Volleyball Canada Championships.
Mizuno, headquartered in Japan, manufactures and distributes baseball, golf, softball, running, track and field, volleyball equipment, apparel and footwear.
