EDMONTON – Trinity Western’s David Boyd (Victoria) is third after the first four events in the heptathlon at the 2017 Golden Bear Open.
Competing in his first ever university-level heptathlon, Boyd’s opening day was highlighted by his 60m performance in which he clocked a time of 7.50 to collect 713 points.
Through four events, Boyd had 2,093 points.
On Saturday, Boyd will complete the heptathlon, competing in pole vault, the 60m hurdles and the 1000m.
