The Portland Winterhawks (27-21-1-2) earned their fifth consecutive win over the Kamloops Blazers (31-18-2-2) by a score of 4-2 Wednesday at the Moda Center.

Forward Skyler McKenzie recorded a goal and an assist, while Evan Weinger, Jake Gricius and Caleb Jones chipped in with goals of their own in the balanced 4-2 victory. With their goals, both Weinger and Jones extended their point streaks; Weinger with five points in the past five games, and Jones with seven points in the past six games. Cody Glass also added two assists in the win.

The Hawks will now travel to Everett for a road contest Friday night, and then return to the Moda Center Saturday for the popular – and nearly sold out – Banner Bank Mascot Night.
