TRU  head coach Scott Clark :

On the Contest:

“Some mental errors in the last five minutes cost us. That is something we can’t do. We missed some block outs and not coming up with rebounds. We needed to be tougher down the stretch.  That is what winning basketball is. We made the playoffs which certainly was one of our goals.”

The WolfPack sit in ninth place in the RPI.  Depending on a game Sunday (Feb 12) between Alberta and Lethbridge, Thompson Rivers will be heading to either Brandon or Winnipeg for a three game play in series next week (Feb 16-19).  If Alberta beats Lethbridge, TRU will fly to Winnipeg to meet the Wesmen. If Lethbridge is victorious on Sunday, the Pack will open the playoffs in Brandon against the Bobcats.

TRU’s playoff history in Canada West is: 2013-14 (loss to Saskatchewan in quarterfinals),  2014-15 (win over Winnipeg in play in series held in Kamloops followed by quarterfinal series to Saskatchewan) and in 2015-16 (beat Regina in quarterfinal, beat UBC in Canada West semi final and lost to Calgary in final. Went to CIS Final 8).
