Victoria – The Victoria Shamrocks are excited to announce a ladies box lacrosse day camp on Saturday March 18th at Eagle Ridge arena in Langford. The camp gives ladies the opportunity to heighten their skills, have fun and scrimmage with Victoria Shamrocks coaches and players.
Shamrocks Head Coach Bob Heyes will be one of the feature coaches and is excited to see this come to fruition, “The women’s box game is exploding in participation throughout Canada. We are excited to put on this this camp and promote the game of lacrosse. Some of these ladies will become pioneers for the female box game.”
The camp will be held at Eagle Ridge arena and will be limited to a maximum of 40 spots for ladies of all skills from ages 15 and up and run from 4pm-8pm.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to learn from Shamrocks coaches and players. This camp will not only bring awareness to the women’s game and exposure to the local women and girls who play lacrosse, it will also help to improve their skills and game play, strengthening female lacrosse in Victoria”, commented an excited Jayna Brulotte, Manager of Victoria Warriors Women’s Box Lacrosse.
This is second box lacrosse camp the Victoria Shamrocks are hosting this season; the other being for kids aged 7-14 over three days during spring break starting March 20th and hosted by Rhys Duch.
