Kamloops, BC—Prospects for the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s soccer program will get a chance to show their skills on Friday (Mar 24)

Head coach Kelly Shantz is holding an Identification camp conjunction with TRU having its open house. The ID camp will be held at Hillside Stadium and the Tournament Capital Centre.

The second year WolfPack head coach is expecting upwards of 40 players from throughout Alberta and BC to be attending.

Shantz is itching to get a chance to see the prospects who will be involved the sessions which are running Friday (1130 am-1 pm and 3-5 pm.).   “I have only seen a handful of these players before. I put this in place for those I haven’t had a chance to see at all or not much and needed to provide an opportunity to. It’ll be a busy day for myself and the entire coaching staff.”

“Really all positions are up for grabs,” says Shantz referring to which spots on his current roster are available. “We have strengths returning in a few areas, but we were so young last year that we are still developing. This will be a great time to be an incoming freshman and show your stuff.”

The camp will be primarily new recruits but some veterans from last year will be on hand as well if needed.

Not only will the prospects be current grade 12 students, but Shantz has also invited prospects in grade 11 and 10 as well.

The camp includes a presentation on the Friday night for players and their parents by Shantz.
