Everett, WA- The Victoria Royals were defeated 3-2 in overtime by the Everett Silvertips on Friday night and now trail 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.
The Silvertips’ Eetu Tuulola scored the overtime winner 7:02 into the first period of extra time. Patrick Bajkov and Matt Fonteyne both recorded markers in the middle frame.
Victoria forward Jared Dmytriw knotted the game 2-2 late in the third period when he buried his own rebound past Everett goalie Carter Hart. Carter Folk tallied the opening goal for the visitors in the second stanza on a deflection from a Chaz Reddekopp point shot.
Royals’ goaltender Griffen Outhouse got the nod in net and stopped 33 of the 36 shots directed his way. Outhouse’s counterpart, Hart, turned away 17 of the 19 pucks he faced.
Victoria held a mark of 0/1=0.0% on the man-advantage, while Everett went 1/3=33.3%.
If necessary, the two teams will travel to Everett for Game 7 on Tuesday, April 4th at the XFINITY Arena with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m.
