Mariners Trade LHP Paul Fry To Baltimore In Exchange For International Signing Slot


SEATTLE, Wash – Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto announced today that the Mariners traded left-handed pitcher Paul Fry to the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Baltimore’s International Signing Slot #105.


Fry, 24, made just one appearance with AAA Tacoma before being designated for assignment on April 11. He was added to the 40-man roster on Nov. 18, 2016. In five minor league seasons, he is 13-14 with a 2.89 ERA (76 ER, 237.0 IP) with 290 strikeouts in 151 games, including 6 starts. He was selected by Seattle in the 17th round of the 2013 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of St. Clair County Community College (Port Huron, MI).
