Kamloops, BC – Last weekend, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack Baseball team had their first four game weekend sweep in over a season, taking four games from the VIBI Mariners. The team now has a short week as they head out on the road for the first time this season. They play four games this weekend against the University of Calgary Dinos.

The two teams will play their four game series over three days.

Friday, April 21st at 6:00pm

Saturday, April 22nd at 1pm and 4pm

Sunday, April 23rd at 11am

All the games are at Foothills Stadium in Calgary.

“Our pitching was awesome this past weekend and our offense really took off,” says Malcolm Upton, “Hopefully we can continue that same intensity for this weekend.”

“Execution has been the theme of our game. Our focus on manufacturing runs and taking team at bats has put us in situations to be successful from the first inning to the last,” says outfielder Ethan Mohan, “We have a deep power hitting line up, and a hungry bullpen. Every one wants to contribute to the fire, to let it burn all weekend long.”

They got three complete games last weekend by Tyler Hodder, Scott Wood and Dillon Ferguson.

Outfielder Ethan Mohan leads the league in average (.500), tied for first in hits (20) and second in RBIs (18).

The WolfPack are in 2nd place in the league with a 7-5 record while the Dinos are last with a 1-11 record and have lost nine straight games. The team expects a big weekend against a struggling Calgary team. With a big weekend, the ‘Pack could extend their winning streak to eight games and inch closer to PBA for first place.
