Cory Small

The Vancouver Stealth (9-9/0-0) host the Colorado Mammoth (9-9/0-0) in the West Division Semifinal game, on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

For the first time since moving to the Lower Mainland the Vancouver Stealth will host a playoff game inside the Langley Events Centre.

“Lacrosse fans in Vancouver have been waiting four years for this game, t he Langley Events Centre will be rocking Saturday night,” said Stealth play-by-play commentator Jake Elliott. “Corey Small has been a beast all year and he was huge last weekend. But I have a feeling that his best has yet to come.”

Heading into the final game of the 2017 regular season Corey Small needed 7 points to tie the Stealth’s single season franchise record in points. Small scored 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points including the game’s tying goal with less than 20 seconds remaining in the fourth and the game winning goal in overtime. Small now sits with Colin Doyle and teammate Rhys Duch as the highest producing players in a single season with 111 points.

“Over the past few weeks you can really feel the confidence growing throughout the team. We believe we can beat anyone right now and we seem to be peaking at the right time,” said Corey Small.  “As a team that’s missed the playoffs the past few seasons, we are excited for this opportunity. Our success at home as of late coincides with the growing support of our fans and the lacrosse community in BC. This will be a huge game for our franchise and our fans.”
