The Intermediate and Junior Shamrocks continued their winning ways at home, each coming away with a victory Saturday.  The Intermediates beat the visiting Okanagan Wild in the opener by a 20-0 score.  Shutouts are very rare in lacrosse, perhaps even more so at this level.  The Okanagan squad is new to the league this season and experiencing some growing pains.  Many players on the victorious Shamrocks team came up with multi-point games.  Brayden Brown had an 11-point night on 4 goals and 7 helpers.  Thomas Vaeson had 7 goals and 2 assists.  Jackson Boyd chipped in 4 goals and it was Ryan Atkinson coming up with the shutout and helping the offense with 2 assists.

The Jr. Shamrocks meanwhile outlasted the visiting Burnaby Lakers by an 18-11 score.  The game was tight early but Victoria broke it open with a run of 5 straight goals to take a 7-3 first period lead and never looked back.  Shots on goal heavily favoured the Shamrocks by a 54-37 margin.  Brian Robb led the offense with 4 goals and 3 helpers while Brad McCulley also had 4 goals.  Braylon lumb, Ben Preston and Griffin Wilson each had a pair of goals while Spencer Erwin got the win in goal.

Both teams next see action next Saturday at the Q Centre, the Intermediates hosting Maple Ridge at 1:30 and the Jr. Shamrocks taking on the Langley Thunder at 5:00 pm.
