The legendary Swede striker has played his last game as a Manchester United player.
It seems that Manchester United are unlucky when it comes to Swedish players.
Bojan Djordjic didn’t fulfill his potential, Larsson didn’t stay long enough to make a proper impact, while terrible injuries have prevented Jesper Blomquist and now Zlatan Ibrahimovic from staying longer with the Red Devils.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not going to renew his contract with Manchester United.
After suffering a horrific injury in the Europa League quarter – final return game against Anderlecht, Zlatan will not get a new contract by the Manchester club.
His return date meant that United had to pay him ridiculous wages without him participating in well over half of next season which forced Jose Mourinho to switch his focus to the transfer market this summer.
This means that Manchester United will need to sign another player alongside Antoine Griezmann and Torino’s Belotti, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Tottenham’s Harry Kane have been mentioned as alternatives for the departing Swede.
United will most likely spend over €200M in the upcoming transfer window on attacking positions only.
