The search for assessors to attend the upcoming men’s field lacrosse world championship tryout camps, and subsequent 2018 Men’s Field Lacrosse World Championship in Israel, is now underway.
The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) is looking for assessors to evaluate the referee candidates, who will be vying for the chance to participate in the 2018 world championship, during the three different tryout camps throughout the summer and fall.
The selection process for assessors will be similar to previous FIL World Championships. All interested candidates will be required to complete the application form, which requires approval from their Member Association, and return it to the CLA office by May 31, 2017.
In order to ensure consistency in the assessments of the candidates, the CLA  will require the same assessor team attend each of the referee tryout camps. By applying for this role, the assessor is expressing his/her intent to attend all three tryout camps, and if desired, the 2018 world championship.
