The Intermediate Shamrocks had a 14-10 win in a home game Saturday against the Richmond Roadrunners. The win avenges an earlier road loss against these same Roadrunners. The Shamrocks held a 5-3 lead after the first but saw it slip away to be down 9-7 after two before rebounding to outscore the visitors 7-1 in the final 20 minutes to come away with the win.
Leading the way for Victoria’s offense were Brayden Brown with 3 goals and 4 assists, Caleb Kueber with 3 goals and 3 assists and Jackson Boyd also with the hat trick. Nick Coleman had a pair of goals as did Thomas Vaesen, each chipping in 3 assists as well. A.J. Jensen got the start in goal but Ryan Atkinson came in with the Shamrocks down 9-6 to pick up the win. The Intermediate Shamrocks travel to Chilliwack to face the Okanagan Wild on Monday and return to the Q Centre next Saturday, May 27 at 1:30 when the visitors will be the Langley Thunder
