The Jr. Shamrocks drop their fourth straight game

The Jr. Shamrocks dropped their fourth straight, this time to the visiting New Westminster Salmonbellies by a 15-11 score.  It really looked like a rout with the Bellies holding a 9-2 lead after 20 minutes but the Rocks battled back over the final 40 minutes, outshooting the visitors by a wide margin.  The Jr. Shamrocks have had trouble scoring goals but a couple of bright spots in the line-up were Daniel Smith and Braylon Lumb, each with the hat trick and Lumb with an assist.  Ben Preston had 2 goals and captain Cole Pickup added a goal and 3 assists.  Will Kinnaird and Spencer Erwin both saw action in goal with Kinnaird playing the bulk of the game.  The Jr. Rocks travel to Port Coquitlam Sunday for a 2:00 pm match-up against the Saints and return to the Q centre next Saturday at 5:00 pm when they will host those same Port Coquitlam Saints.
