The girls and boys singles titles were decided at the Panorama International Junior ITF Tennis Championships were crowned on Saturday.


In the girls finals, Third Seed Sophia Ho of Vancouver defeated second seed Jessie Gong also of Vancouver 6-3, 6-3. This title is HO’s first ever ITF Tournament title win.


In the boys final, RJ Fresen of New Jersey defeated Joshua Lapadat of Toronto 6-4, 6-1.


Fresen went through qualifying and the main draw dropping only two sets, one in the second round to the first seed Aaron Diemer of Victoria and then in the quarterfinals to fifth seed Theodore McDonald of Seattle. All in all, Fresen defeated three seeds on the way to the title.

IN two weeks, it will be Panorama’s turn to host the professional women players to the facility where the players will be competing for $15,000 total prize money at the EncoreFX $15,000 Victoria International Women’s ITF Tennis Championships.
