The Jr. Shamrocks broke out of a slump in a big way over the weekend.  After defeating the Port Coquitlam Saints 9-7 at home Saturday, they travelled to Delta and handed the Islanders a 16-6 defeat Sunday.

Spencer Erwin had another strong game in goal, stopping 32 of 38 shots and the offense caught fire with team captain Cole Pickup leading the way with 2 goals and 6 assists.  Braylon Lumb had 3 goals and 3 assists while Brad McCulley had 2 goals and 3 helpers.  Griffin Wilson, Nick Preston, Daniel Smith and Skyler Wilson also had 2 goals each as Brian Robb added a goal and 4 assists.

The Shamrocks are currently in fourth place in the standings.  Next weekend they will again travel to play the Islanders on Saturday and return to the Q Centre at 2:00 on Sunday, June 11 to face the New Westminster Salmonbellies.
