EDMONTON – Canada West women’s rugby action returns to the field Sept. 15, as the conference released the 2017 15s schedule Thursday. The University of Victoria Vikes will host all three of their regular season games including UBC on Sept. 24, Lethbridge on Sept. 29 and Calgary on Oct. 15.

A total of 10 conference regular season games are set to be played, with all five conference teams playing four regular season contests apiece. The CW season concludes Oct. 20-22 in Calgary, when the defending conference champion Dinos will host the CW Rugby 15s Final Four.

Calgary, who is coming off the program’s first conference title, makes its 2017 debut September 21 with a road game against the Lethbridge Pronghorns.

The ‘Horns, who hosted last year’s conference tournament, are looking to make the most of the 2017 season, as they ready to host the nation’s finest at the U SPORTS national championship November 2-5. The eight-team tournament is heading to Southern Alberta for the second time in its history, after Lethbridge hosted and won in 2008.
