Sunday’s final was a two set affair. Alexa Graham of Long Island came out of the gate fast right from the first ball and jumped out to 6-1, 5-1 lead. Tori Kinard of California fought to get back in the second set but at 5-4 Graham was able to hold serve after several match point to seal the victory.
The final culminated 8 days of world class tennis action at the Panorama Tennis Centre. Graham with the victory will see her world ranking rise from 902 to somewhere in the range of 725 on the the WTA ( Women’s Tennis Association) ranking list.
Lots of great tennis was featured with 48 competitors from 8 countries competing for the top prize in singles and doubles.
