Jr. Shamrocks held off a late surge by the Coquitlam Adanacs for Canada Day win

In a Canada day battle, the Jr. Shamrocks held off a late surge by the Coquitlam Adanacs to come out with a 15-14 victory at the Q Centre.  Leading the way unofficially for the Shamrocks was Jackson Boyd with 4 goals and 4 assists, with midget ‘A’ call-up Patrick Dodds also chipping in 4 goals and 1 assist.  Brayden Brown had the hat trick and 4 assists, Caleb Kueber and Thomas Vaesen each had a goal and 4 assists with Liam Phillips and Max Wilson also scoring.  Ryan Atkinson picked up the win in goal.

The Intermediate Shamrocks are on the road Sunday to take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies, returning to the Q Centre for their last home regular season game next Saturday, July 8 at 1:30 when they will host the Port Coquitlam Saints.  Standings in the B.C. Intermediate Lacrosse League are extremely close so every win brings the Shamrocks closer to home floor advantage in the playoff round.  The regular season wraps up the weekend of July 15-16.
