The Nanaimo Timbermen were looking for their third win of the season Tuesday at the Q Centre and they held a 3-2 lead after the first period against the Jr. Shamrocks but the Rocks rebounded for a 9-7 lead after 40 minutes and didn’t give up a goal in the final period as they defeated the Timbermen 15-7.

Tonight it was Brad McCulley leading Victoria’s offense with 2 goals and 7 assists.  Marshal King added 4 of each and Nick Preston had a 7-point night on a goal and 6 assists.  Jake Campbell with the hat trick, Braylon Lumb with a pair of goals and Cole Pickup, David Byrne and Skyler Wilson with singles rounded out the scoring.  Goaltender Will Kinnaird kicked out 30 of the 37 shots he faced.

The Rocks have just 1 game remaining and that takes place Saturday, July 8 at 5:00 pm when they will host the Delta Islanders.  It will be Fan Appreciation Day with extra give-aways and team pictures available for an autograph session post-game.

The Intermediate Shamrocks also wrap up their home regular season Saturday at 1:30 when the visitors will be the Port Coquitlam Saints.  Their final two games will take place on the road July 9 and 16.
