Five Vikes women’s golfers named to A.I.I. Academic All-Conference Team

The Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) has released the names of 428 student-athletes who will be recognized as A.I.I. Academic All-Conference for the 2016-17 academic year. Of the 13 women’s golfers named five are from the University of Victoria Vikes women’s golf team.

“This is a great achievement for these female student-athletes,” said Justin Clews, head coach of the Vikes golf program. “All five of them really balance their workload efficiently between academics and athletics. They should be very proud of receiving this honor. Given the amount of travel we do throughout both the fall and spring semesters, maintaining a GPA at this level is quite impressive.”

Student-athletes named to this list have qualified based on a cumulative GPA minimum of 5.75.
