The BC Lions (4-2) return to BC Place this Saturday at 4:00 pm to host the Saskatchewan Roughriders (2-3) in another important West Division showdown.
The Leos look to get back into the win column following a tough road loss in Edmonton on Friday night. Sitting third in the ultra-competitive West Division, Wally Buono’s crew will need a bounce-back effort to keep pace with both Calgary and Edmonton and ahead of both Winnipeg and the ‘Riders.
Travis Lulay will be at the helm of the Lions offence for a fourth consecutive week and he’ll welcome wide receiver Chris Williams back to action as the offseason free agent acquisition makes his Lions debut. With as many weapons at his disposal as Lulay now has including Emmanuel Arceneaux, Bryan Burnham, Nick Moore and the aforementioned Williams, there could be plenty of fireworks on the field before show over English Bay later in the night.
Led by quarterback Kevin Glenn, the resurgent Roughriders come into Saturday’s game on high note following their win over Toronto last week. The veteran pivot has a high-powered offence of his own including the dynamic Duron Carter who was unstoppable last week.
It’s the Lions and ‘Riders on a hot August weekend with both teams looking to make a move in the West.
